Arthur Avenue Deli
You’ll find the Arthur Avenue Deli in the Putnam Plaza Shopping Center in Carmel. This place serves delicious food made with high-quality ingredients. The portions are large and well worth the value. Make sure to get a sandwich with fresh mozzarella, or just get some to go. It’s the best in the area.
One of the sandwiches you can get at Arthur Avenue Deli is the Rubenator. This comes with hot pastrami, melted Swiss, homemade coleslaw, and Russian dressing. If you want your sandwich to have a kick, try the blazing chicken with buffalo chicken, pepper jack cheese, hot peppers, lettuce, and onions.
Saverio’s Deli

Saverio’s Deli proudly serves fresh and healthy cuisine. It makes many of its items every day right at the counter, so you can always count on fresh Italian sausage and mozzarella.
Its signature sandwiches come on a roll or wedge. The Big Mamma sandwich is always a good place to start if you’re not sure what to get. It has a freshly prepared chicken cutlet, melted mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers, balsamic and oil. The Bronco sandwich is also worth a try. It’s made with a chicken cutlet, melted American cheese, bacon, and Russian dressing. Saverio’s sandwich comes with eggplant, melted mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, and balsamic and oil, and make sure to try the Empire State sandwich. Cameron’s Deli
Cameron’s Deli in nearby Brewster, NY, serves tasty food and stays open 24 hours a day, so you can grab something to eat no matter when you get hungry. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. There’s no indoor seating, but there are outdoor tables where you can sit during the warmer months.
Make sure to try the Cluck’en Russian. This comes with a chicken cutlet on a roll with melted provolone cheese and Russian dressing. The meatball sandwich is also a wonderful choice. It has Cameron’s meatballs and tomato sauce. If you want something you can’t get just anywhere, the list of specialty sandwiches should be your go-to.

If you wait until lunch to go to Gino’s, you’ll have a wide selection of sandwiches to choose from. The roast beef sandwich comes with sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and horseradish sauce, or you can try the chicken quesadilla. It has sliced grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, peppers, and onions and is served with sour cream and salsa.
If you like a hot sandwich, the roast beef and mushroom melt has hot grilled roast beef with fresh sliced mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese. The Carmel special is always an excellent choice. It has chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella cheese, and tomato drizzled in Italian dressing.
Deli Land
Stop by Deli Land on Route 52 in Lake Carmel for breakfast, lunch, and ice cream. Owner Owen Jordan opened Deli Land in 1991 after renovating a custard stand from the 1950s. After 30 years in the business, you can always count on delicious food made with high-quality ingredients.
It starts in the morning with breakfast sandwiches and platters, and then you can head back for lunch, where you have burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs. The menu has a variety of burgers, along with wraps such as the turkey club, chicken Caesar, and the funky chicken with roast chicken, melted cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, and Russian dressing.
You can’t beat a hot melted sandwich, and have several to choose from at Deli Land. The Mississippi comes with grilled turkey, melted Swiss, and Russian dressing, and the Cali combo has grilled turkey and ham, cheddar cheese, and honey mustard, Make sure to try the Fisherman’s Last Catch that comes with tuna on a grilled cheese with bacon, or the chicken, eggplant, or meatball parm.
