The 2024 Acadia will have about 80% more cargo space behind the third row and 36% more storage behind the second row, compared to the previous model year. While GMC hasn’t released official cargo dimensions yet, Car and Driver estimates this increased capacity will result in about 23 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and 56 cubic feet behind the second row.

It’s easy to access this cargo space, too, thanks to the standard smart-sense liftgate in the back. In the cargo area, an underfloor storage compartment provides an additional space for useful items, such as a first aid kit. When you need more room for large or bulky items, you can quickly increase the cargo capacity by folding down the rear seats. An available power-folding third-row seat, standard in the top-level Denali trim, makes it a breeze to configure the cabin to your needs.

Seating and Passenger Space

The cargo area isn’t the only interior part that gets more space in the latest generation. The Acadia will now seat up to seven or eight passengers, depending on the seating configuration. That’s an increase from previous models’ six- to seven-passenger capacity.

All passengers will have plenty of space to ride comfortably, whether they’re sitting in the front passenger seat or in the third row. For back-seat passengers, available features such as a one-touch folding rear seat helps them get in and out of the SUV quickly. In certain trims, second-row captain’s chairs fold flat with a sliding feature, making it easier for passengers to access the third row.

For an even more spacious cabin, you can customize your Acadia with an available panoramic sunroof. This sunroof extends across the top of the vehicle, making the cabin feel more open. Plus, on a beautiful New York day, you and your passengers will be able to feel the warm sunshine on your skin.

In the off-road-capable Acadia AT4, the Forest Storm interior brings the outside in with earthy tones and dark accents. This interior package also features mahogany stitching with chrome-metallic trim.

The 2024 Acadia comes with the latest software version, which includes trailering assist and automatic lane-change capabilities.
